The mainstream media is fucking stupid because it panders to the average person out there. Yappy yap, yap, yap. First, let's consider the effect of the coverage. If some loony gunthumper out there is watching this 24/7 news mayhem, do you think he is incentivised to copy-cat this crime, or discouraged from doing so? I think the answer is fairly obvious. Get ready for the next one, folks - it makes for great news. Somewhere deep inside, the news anchors just can't wait for it. The NRA wants an armed guard in every school? Ha, one more casualty - just need to shoot him first. If you want to secure schools from this type of thing they need to be literally bunkers.
Does this deserve the attention it's getting? Surely, it's a massive tragedy that 30 innocent people got killed by a crazy gunman? Yes. But then again, isn't this - www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/lcod.… - a tragedy also?
Heart disease: 599,413
Cancer: 567,628
Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 137,353
Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 128,842
Accidents (unintentional injuries): 118,021
Alzheimer's disease: 79,003
Diabetes: 68,705
Influenza and Pneumonia: 53,692
Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 48,935
Intentional self-harm (suicide): 36,909
What's that, 12,000 gun homicides don't even make the top 10? Oh, I think they forgot to mention that in like every report I've yet to see. Three of the top four, accounting for 1 MILLION dead people per year, are very strongly influenced by environmental factors. You could literally save a hundred thousand people per year or more with sensible diet and exercise, using sunscreen, etc. Nothing more, and nothing less.
But who gives a fuck about on hundred grand dead, when it's so easy and convenient to shed a tear for thirty, and stroke that righteous indignation part of your brain. Oh, what a monster, how terrible, what a world we live in! Those people who die because of corn subsidies and ultra cheap high-fructose corn syrup, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, tripping in the bathroom, etc? It's boring news. It's just dreadfully unexciting to hear that you ought to eat more veggies and exercise more. Here's a simple fact: removing corn subsidies would save more people than removing every single gun from every single violent person in the United States. One is relatively easy, the other - impossible.
Do these yapping little bitches whom we refer to as journalists ever report on the breadth of the situation? No. Does the hypocrite who bombs children to shreds with drones ever get called out for his bullshit? Fuuuuck no.
Obama - "Yes, John, go ahead."
John - "Ahem.. Mr. President, you seem to be very touched by the innocent victims of Adam Lanza. Did you also shed a tear for the 38 children that you have killed via drone and cruise missile strikes as part of illegal undeclared wars you've been conducting overseas since the beginning of your presidency? That just happens to be a lot more children than Adam Lanza killed today. Were they the wrong color, or were they in a wrong location to deserve compassion, justice, and sympathy? Would you comment on that?"
Obama - "Uhh.. next question please. Paul, go ahead."
Paul - "Mr. President, according to our research, the corn subsidies you perpetuate in your administration are responsible for tens of thousands of deaths from heart disease and stroke every year. It might not be a sensationalist event like what happened yesterday, but would you be willing to..."
Obama - "Umm.. next question. Wolf, go ahead."
Wolf - "Mr. President, isn't it true that a substantial number of gun violence deaths are a direct result of the failed War on Drugs? Not only here, but in Mexico and South America, this failed policy has killed hundreds of thousands of people - including innocent bystanders - in gang turf war shootouts. Don't you think it's time to..."
Obama - "Next. Bob?"
Bob - "Mr. President, the number of children killed by reckless driving is much higher than those shot by guns. Shouldn't we.."
Obama - "Next."
Bill - "Is it true that more children drown in bath tubs every year than.."
...
Obama - "OK, that's enough. Can someone hand me a gun?"
Well, here is to a fucking interview which will never happen. Any journalist who will ask such questions will be banned from White House interviews for life. Here's to an independent and free media, booyah!

Thank you Gillette
So there I was, putting on my rape shoes, and practicing my sexual harassment pickup lines this morning. I just got done cyberbullying my coworkers. It was time to shave, I yelled at my wife to smile because I demand it, while pinching her butt right after she told me she didn't consent to it. Putting on the shaving cream and thinking about how I can get my son into a fight at the next BBQ, I replaced the worn Gillette brand Mach3 and began to chant "boys will be boys" as I started to shave. Then suddenly my daughter burst into the bathroom holding her phone. As I began to mansplain to her why she isn't smart enough to know my shaving time is
Haiti is a shithole country
OK so Trump called Haiti a shithole country, and apparently it made many people upset. The dictionary definition of shithole, Google says, is "an extremely dirty, shabby, or otherwise unpleasant place."
Anderson spends two minutes here saying how Haitians are tough people. Yes, that's true. Tough people live in shithole countries everywhere around the world. That's totally besides the point. A country is not a "collection of people rich and poor" blah blah. That's the Haitian people. The country is more (or in this case LESS lol) than its citizens. It's a nation with laws occupying a particular geographic location.
So what is this sleight of
And I get lost in the nothingness inside of me
(When this began)
I had nothing to say
And I get lost in the nothingness inside of me
(I was confused)
And I let it all out to find
That I’m not the only person with these things in mind
(Inside of me)
But all that they can see the words revealed
Is the only real thing that I’ve got left to feel
(Nothing to lose)
Just stuck, hollow and alone
And the fault is my own, and the fault is my own
Something in here's not right today.
Why am I so uptight today?
Paranoia's all I got left
I don't know what stressed me first
Or how the pressure was fed
But I know just what it feels like
To have a voice in the back of my head
Meryl Streep is an ableist ...
Watch Streep’s speech first below. I’d like to make two broad points about what she said.
… who disrespects disabled people
Some brief background information first. Serge Kovaleski, whom Donald Trump mocked is a successful high profile journalist who won The Pulitzer Prize. That is to say, he is vastly more successful than 99.99% of people in the world, regardless of their health status. He’s probably a millionaire, and is definitely a member of the elite. I don’t doubt his success and his ability to get things done in life.
Did Trump mock Kovaleski? Yes. However, as per this video - https://youtu.be/5aYFC_7Z

That is absolutely ridiculous.
