Change..... by sevasone

You know shit is bad when Fox is showing stuff like this - BLATANT VOTE FRAUD - www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqsyzT… This is like mock elections under communism. Fox, a station for the status quo is actually going against their bias here.

Come on guys, why aren't you doing something? Both Republicans and Democrats are taking you to the shitter. NDAA, Patriot Act, Guintanamo, never ending wars, DRUG WAR, corporatism, lies and more lies, fear mongering, bailing out the rich while the middle class suffers, assassinating 16 year old American citizens without a trial, etc.

They are taking the best country in the world and turning it into a fucking joke and the rest of the world is no less screwed :(

Fuck Obama, and fuck Romney. Fuck anyone who takes money from the lobbyists. Both of their election campaigns are paid for by Goldman Sachs. This information is public but you won't hear about it on CNN. Apparently they don't find it suspicious or interesting enough that two supposedly opposing candidates get equal support from a third party. They are the almost the same person with the same policies. Both complete and utter liars ready to promise the sun and the moon and deliver nothing. Here's a nice lie from Obama. Cut deficit in half by 2012? How about doubling it instead.

Obama ran under the banner of change. I had some hopes for him, how silly of me. What the fuck changed? Yeah, NDAA was passed, Patriot Act extended, and a couple of American citizens were assassinated without a trial, the rich were bailed out, everyone got screwed. That's not change we can believe in :-\

"I will promise you this; if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. We will bring an end to this war! You can take that to the bank." -Barrack Obama, Oct 27th 2007. I took it to the bank, but they told me they don't accept bullshit for deposits :(

Please take the red pill before it's too late!

PS I fully endorse Ron Paul after exhaustive research. He may not be the perfect candidate, but he's in a league of his own when it comes to integrity. Goldman Sachs won't even try talking to him.

Preaching to the choir bro. I've basically been pissed at all the presidents over the past 100 years or so, and am a firm believer in both parties being pretty identical. I definitely don't think we're worse off than other countries, but we're descending the shitter fast. Agreed with you quite a bit.

Very true. And the latest right-wingnut trash was when Rush Limbaugh, copy-reading mouthpiece for the uber-rich, decided to bully a schoolgirl for her stance on birth control - the primary election issue while Rome burns. Turns out his employer, Clear Channel, is owned by Bain Capital, the outfit that employed Mitt Romney as a corporate raider (oops, job creator  ). Turns out the jobs he created were the folks hauling away the assets of companies he closed after raiding the retirement funds.

As for candidates, they're promoted by the media which is owned by Wall Street (Murdoch for one) and much of the rhetoric hailing the stripping of middle class of jobs and benefits is scripted by the Koch Brothers' "think tanks" like the Cato Institute, Heritage Foundation, and John Birch Society. BTW, whatever happened to a journalist by the name of Rex Murphy who was silenced when the CBC was taken over? When the CBC fell during the Bush family junta, Canada's commentary on their southern neighbor's corruption was silenced. Seeing the way the civil police forces are being militarized, it looks a lot like the hostile takeover is going to get worse for believers in democracy. Best of luck - though we know it will take more.

Rush Limbaugh is a fucking asshole. Does that make his stance against government involvement in contraception invalid? Nope.

You know the #1 thing that's wrong with "free contraception"?

I try not to get involved in political discussions, but oh well... too late.

Obama isn't the perfect president. No one is. He was the best chance we had last election and he tried to make our country a better one. He didn't fail.

A fraction of the campaign promises he kept:

No. 16: Increase minority access to capital
No. 33: Establish a credit card bill of rights
No. 36: Expand loan programs for small businesses

No. 38: Extend the Bush tax cuts for those making less than $250,000 (couples) or $200,000 (single)
No. 48: Close the “doughnut hole” in Medicare prescription drug plan
No. 51: Require insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions
No. 53: Give tax credits to those who need help to pay health premiums
No. 55: Require large employers to contribute to a national health plan
No. 56: Require children to have health insurance coverage
No. 57: Expand eligibility for Medicaid
No. 58: Expand eligibility for State Children’s Health Insurance Fund (SCHIP)
No. 63: Require health plans to disclose how much of the premium goes to patient care
No. 65: Establish an independent health institute to provide accurate and objective information
No. 69: In non-competitive markets, force insurers to pay out a reasonable share of their premiums for patient care
No. 70: Eliminate the higher subsidies to Medicare Advantage plans
No. 93: Reinstate executive order to hire an additional 100,000 federal employees with disabilities within five years.

No. 109: Fully fund the Veterans Administration
No. 113: Expand the Veterans Administration’s number of “centers of excellence” in specialty care
No. 121: Fully fund the Violence Against Women Act
No. 125: Direct military leaders to end war in Iraq
No. 126: Begin removing combat brigades from Iraq
No. 132: No permanent bases in Iraq
No. 161: End the abuse of supplemental budgets for war
No. 167: Make U.S. military aid to Pakistan conditional on anti-terror efforts
No. 172: Open “America Houses” in Islamic cities around the globe
No. 182: Allocate Homeland Security funding according to risk
No. 195: Seek verifiable reductions in nuclear stockpiles
No. 196: Extend monitoring and verification provisions of the START I Treaty
No. 197: Stand down nuclear forces to be reduced under the Moscow Treaty
No. 215: Create a rapid response fund for emerging democracies
No. 222: Grant Americans unrestricted rights to visit family and send money to Cuba
No. 225: Establish an Energy Partnership for the Americas
No. 229: Expand the Nurse-Family Partnership to all low-income, first-time mothers

No. 259: Reduce subsidies to private student lenders and protect student borrowers
No. 269: Increase funding for national parks and forests
No. 275: Expand Pell grants for low-income students
No. 290: Push for enactment of Matthew Shepard Act, which expands hate crime law to include sexual orientation and other factors

No. 411: Work to overturn Ledbetter vs. Goodyear
No. 422: Create new financial regulations
No. 427: Ban lobbyist gifts to executive employees

No. 458: Invest in all types of alternative energy
No. 483: Invest in public transportation
No. 495: Double federal spending for research on clean fuels
No. 500: Increase funding for the Environmental Protection Agency
No. 507: Extend unemployment insurance benefits and temporarily suspend taxes on these benefits
No. 513: Reverse restrictions on stem cell research

A FRACTION. I don't want to get into a debate over politics (as this is obviously headed... whatever) but he did a lot of things right. Then again, no one is a perfect president. No one is a perfect anyone. He made mistakes, took wrong turns, and yes, f*cked up once or twice. But he was testing out new ideas and trying to find a way out of the mess he found himself in the moment he made office.

Bailout the rich? Nope, didn't work.

Ah, what the hell. I should stop talking now. You could give me a hundred fricking reasons why I'm wrong, and it wouldn't help either of us... feel free to ignore this comment, man. Stick with your own opinions, I don't care what they are so long as you don't try to convince others you're right and they're wrong. Know what I mean? Cause I sure as hell do.

Beautiful gallery, keep it up.

I consider half of the stuff in this list retarded. I see: spend spend spend.

Obviously there's some good stuff - don't ask don't tell, stem cell research ban, etc.

I could do so much better than all of that in one day. Ending the illegal wars and the drug war. Bam.
