The only sound up there today was the whisper of the creeks flowing into the lake. The glacier is lost in the fog.

This piece of art is so gorgeous! Everything from the boldness of the colors to the sand at the bottom of the water to the cropping of the photo is beautifully done.
You have done a great job following the Rule of Thirds, where the water take up a large portion with the mountains dominating in the top third; regardless of if it were shot that way or done post-editing doesn't matter.
The water is the first thing that catches my attention when I look at this photo, naturally because it is the largest part. I love the substrate at the bottom, because it gives it an almost murky look, but closer to shore, the rocks become sharper. This is very appealing to the eye.
The bold brownish yellow of the grass on the shore is the next thing that I notice. Next to the soft tones of the water, the bright color is a brilliant addition. The two clash, but in a great way.
And lastly, you have the mountains and the fog. I cannot describe how gorgeous just this portion of the photo is. The fog sitting over the bottom of the mountains...it's stunning. I love that it almost looks black and white, because it brings the color scheme full circle. You have the blues, yellows, and greys. They all mesh together to make this beautiful photograph.
Overall, this scene is lovely, though I would have loved to see a less-cropped version. (: You have great vision. Nice work!
