I like the vast difference on how the water in the little puddle looks compared to the lake itself.

I have been in British Columbia a couple of time. The word "beautiful" perfectly fit to this place. If creative photography means to emphasize a concept and to trasmit a feeling, a sensation, an emotion, I think that this shot is creative photography: I can feel the cold, the fresh air, the silence. I stare at this photo and I am in BC for a while. From the technical point of view, the composition is very good: the cloud in the upper right corner draws the attention of the observer with its presence and the light behind it. Then the eye go to the blue sky and to the lake. The snow in the foreground adds lighting to the scene in a subtle, magical way. I love BC and I love this picture. Bravo!
I agree! The puddle and the lake have a completely different color. The puddle took me a little time to notice actually, it kinda looks like ice and/or a part of the land. Itīs a beautiful photo!
