Why so orange? 180 degree pano.

Location: Quilchena, Richmond, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Nikon 10-24mm.
Technique: Photomatix Pro 4.2 and Photoshop CS5 from 10 x 3 x RAW shot in 1.5 EV intervals.

Is this just one shot, or multiple shots put into a single photo. Sorry, I don't know the technical terms for what I'm trying to explain, as I am a painter and not a photographer! Haha! I hope you know what I'm trying to ask though. Regardless, very beautiful!
