Yes, the water is indeed that color. Download includes up to 2560x1600, 2560x1440, and 1600x1200.

Location: Garibaldi Lake, Garibaldi Provincial Park, Beautiful British Columbia.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + 18-105mm VR.
Technique: 3 vertical shots stitched together in PTGui Pro, processed in Photomatix Pro 4.0 and Photoshop CS5.

I like how there are trees in the fore-midground, some in the midground, and some in the back-midground. (You know what I mean.) They feel like elegant brushstrokes.

And hiding behind those trees is the focal point of the shot, the mountain.

Interesting shot, but I'm not entirely convinced you need so much space in the middle. (The water.)

In this shot, I might try to make the relationship between the trees and mountains more clear, if I could. Easier said than done, though, especially without the freedom of a brush and canvas. ;)
