The fall is here. For me, the change of season away from the summer is probably the worst thing that happens every year. I dropped by downtown for the sunrise on my way to hiking today. There was some interesting fog blowing across the harbor.

Firstly, the composition is excellent. The soft, vibrant blur of the sun and the orange of the leaves provides excellent contrast with the shadowed cityscape and the water. The elements are perfectly placed - the foreground of the path is clear, yet not obstructing the significant features at the scene's horizon.
This is HDR done well. Too many HDR shots are too 'painterly' as such, yet this looks totally natural and renders the balance perfectly.
An excellent shot overall. Great technique, the image is striking and leaves a solid impression, and the concept is original enough to hold it's own. Well done!
