Everything looked profoundly boring until 5 minutes after the sun went down. I was wearing my hiking boots, which came in handy when I climbed down to those slipper rocks. Had to be really careful, especially considering that I was pretty excited about the light.

The water is captured resplendently, with no blurring and no obscurity to the point that you can see minute movements and secondary currents running through the water as well. The lighthouse in the view really gives a sense of depth to the picture, as does the spit of land on the other side.
I believe that this work gives an impression of hope, that not only is there a new horizon but also another rocky shore to rest on if you must swim. That everyday is beautiful, if you look at it right. The clouds covering the sun are moving away, and causing a moment of beauty as they do so. This pieces really shines out among photographs.
