I have just been browsing through your gallery and sighing over the gorgeous encapsulations of natural beauty.  Your talent for capturing nature is enviable.

The palette in this piece, as in all of your works, is just glorious.  I love the richly saturated hues and the interplay of complementary colours.  You can really appreciate the purity of the limpid water and the clean air.  There is also a fine movement in the work thanks to your exploitation of the tree lines on each side of the image, and the central line of the lake, to frame the mountains in the background.  The slightly distorted effect (I guess from a wide-angle lens...? I'm not a photographer) really does add to the sense of an expanse of space.

I have one minor piece of con-crit from my layman's perspective, which is that I wonder if this shot might have been better without the mound of vegetation on the left-hand side.  Moving closer to the mountains to take it out of shot might have resulted in a slightly better shot through losing an element that, for me, is a little distracting.

All in all, a very lovely shot that captures a refreshing mood.  Great work! :happybounce:
