Dissident by IvanAndreevich Dissident by IvanAndreevich
The 2012 landscape calendar is now available! Go check it out :D

The daisy is the great dissident amongst the throngs of ... does anyone know what these flowers are called? I almost wiped out getting to this spot from the impromptu trail because I was so excited. The amazing thing is that there are two more lakes just behind that forest, but they are not visible from this flowery spot. I'll post a photo from a spot where all three lakes line up perfectly into the distance :D

I'd be hiding just behind the tree line on the mountain visible from here -

Location: Upper Lake, Joffre Lakes Provincial Park, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm + Tiffen Polarizer.
Processing: Photomatix Pro 4.1 and Photoshop CS5 from 3 RAW exposures.

In case no one else has mentioned it, the pink flowers are Dwarf Fireweed, the shorter, alpine version of the regular Fireweed flower. Lovely shot.

What a stunningly beautiful landscape!: jawdrop: It's amazing to think that something so wonderful can be found in nature, particularly the lake with that lovely blue water and the bright pink flowers. The colouring, clarity and lighting of this shot all look wonderful. Great shot!

Tch, random daisy is lonely...
This is an interesting place, it looks really cool, the little pool at the lowest point of the basin. and it's reflecting against the sky so magnificently, those two deep blues along with the bright bright pink flowers, it's such a colorful scheme!

It takes a lot to get me to cry/almost cry, but I almost started crying when I saw this. This is so beautiful! The clarity, the colors, the rolling mountains and beautiful flowers. I would love to go there some day and see it in person! Again, completely beautiful!

Looks like there's a lot of glacial silt in the water. Did you take this next to a glacier? Very serene, nice work!

i don't really like HDR's of outdoor landscapes. looks way too fake and overprocessed. good comp, but could look better with some proper masking vs using HDR.
