I am not a professional photographer, nor am I knowledgeable with the latest camera equipment or current photo editing software available. Please understand that I give this critique as an onlooker only. The opinions expressed by me are an account as to what I see within the photograph.

First off...WOW! Beautiful scenery!

I find a nice balance within this photograph. Not too much sky, nor too much mountain or foreground. Instead, there's seems to be an equal balance of each, giving an onlooker a "big picture" feel, and allowing one to take in all the beauty expressed here. I don't feel cheated.

One can actually feel the cold weather while viewing the photo as well. There's no mistaking the cold with the large amounts of frost on the ground and snow on the mountains. The darkness of the clouds that loom above the mountains intensifies the "cold" feel by adding it's wintery shadow.

Is this the true color of the lake or steam? If so, it is so nice. It's glassy-calm look is relaxing adding a great sense of peace to the photo. All stress, melts away.

What I dislike about the photo, is the tent. I understand that this is a camping photo, however, the tent seems out of place. You have all this beauty and then, pow! This brown tent with it's orange tip is there. Maybe a more pastel colored tent would have been more appealing. The tent also pulls my attention away from the natural beauty within the photograph.

This photo gives much to an onlooker, beauty, relaxation, peace, and cold weather. I enjoy cold weather!

Well done!!!
