Every time I leave dA for a while, I look at your photos when I come back.  You show how beautiful the world can be =) Your photos are astounding.  Some day, I'm going to decorate my home with prints of your works.

The compositions you came back with from Banff and Yoho are good. I especially liked the Takakkaw one. It makes me want to get back to Banff and try a little harder to find unique compositions.

Maybe so. The light wasn't that great, unfortunately. I'm sure at some point I can significantly improve on that.

Sunrise in that area is usually pretty great, better (I've found) than sunsets/maybe a little longer lasting. Either way, even middle of the afternoon light cannot diminish the beauty of the Rockies. :D
Gives you a good excuse to get back there, anyway.

Didn't enjoy driving that far, and I did find the hotel prices to be frankly outrageous. Ergo, sleeping in the car but there aren't even many good places to park overnight.

Very true. We stayed at Tunnel Mountain campground, which was actually really great. I've never even attempted staying in a hotel in Banff, because of the prices :P the campground prices were very good, though. We went on a weekend which was a bad judgement call - people everywhere. Next time, hard sided trailer or camper and weekday camping, haha
