The lake was already freezing along the edge. Two weeks later everything was frozed and hidden under snow. Here's a single-exposure no HDR version for comparison - [link] - I know many people are curious.
Location: Elfin Lakes, Garibaldi Provincial Park, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm + Tiffen Polarizer.
Technique: Photomatix Pro 4.1 and Photoshop CS5 from 3 RAW shot with AEB +1.5 EV, 0, -1.5 EV exposures.
